Ruffles & Bows

If you were playing therapist, would you say I have so many feminine touches in our home because I'm the only girl?  (Well, of course our dog, Olii, too....but she's a tom boy)

There are a lot of ruffles....

(Rachel Ashwell's Shabby Chic curtain from Target)

ruffled pillow Pier 1

ruffled curtains Urban Outfitters

ruffled bag....TJ Maxx

heck, even the Atoll mirror (Ballard) is ruffled!

and even a few bows....

Do you see themes in your home, too?

Julie

  1. I do in my home. Everywhere. I'm not sure we are normal though, or that everyone else has the understanding husband, as we do. My husband calls our apartment "estroginia." In a loving way, of course. ( =

  2. I like all the ruffles..very cohesive to have them everywhere!
My theme right now is brown...and not in a good way :) I need a new theme.

  3. I like your theme. Mine is earthy glam. I love rustic, natural touches (quartz crystals, coral, rocks, driftwood, etc.) but love pretty fabrics and antiques. It's actually all in storage right now so it will interesting to see if my theme holds true in a new space. Something for me to ponder...

  5. I guess my theme would be color and print! It's everywhere, I like my decor bold! Each room is a different color theme but the same tone and abundance of pattern ties it altogether! You like what you like you know!

  6. I love the ruffles! I've been eyeing a ruffled shower curtain for awhile now... I think my theme is beach-y chic - in the form of shells, driftwood, coral, etc... it's subtle, though - I'm working on making our interior more cohesive!! :)

  7. I love all the feminine touches in your home. I try to be very conscience not to make things too girly for my husband. (though he's very understanding and wouldn't mind, too much!) The sad thing is I lived alone for 10 years and didn't take the opportunity to be particularly girly then either. I love that kind of stuff. I'm not sure why I was denying myself when I had the chance.

  12. The ruffles looks great. I have that Target shower curtain too and love it. I notice in my home, I have tons of candles. I'm always wanting to buy a new candle. I think that's because my house usually smells like dog if I don't burn one. LOL!
