Elle Decor News, Lonny & The Mart

I am sure you have heard by now that Margaret Russell is out as the editor-in-chief of Elle Decor and will now take over at Arch. Digest.  Big news, huh?

I am not a reader of AD, but I may begin now.

Who do you think will take over for Elle Decor now?

Also, in magazine news, Lonny will be out in a few days (on the 10th).  Aren't you excited?

I also wish I had the option of buying Lonny at newstands.  Would you pay to buy it?  I would.

And here is some eye candy from my day at the mart yesterday....

these barstools are coming home with me

These sconces in-person are unbelievable!

And me, one tired mama, driving home.

By the way, I am now a registered buyer at the mart (for my client...as her decorator for set design).  Whatever the cost would be to hire me to help you figure out things for your home or business....it may be insignificant at the end of the day because you can save so much buying items at cost.  Feel free to email me!

Have a good weekend,

  1. I love those barstools. Congrats on getting registered! I see you checked out some Aidan gray too!

  2. Thanks for all the updates, I can't wait for the new Lonny.

  3. Hi Julie
I love going to the mart, but it makes me wish for a small kitchen fire...nothing large...just smoke damage...I mean I want to be there when it happens! Hee Haw! I love all the things you showed. I Love Aidan Gray but the minimum is unbelievable! Still, cool stuff!

  4. I just came over from Design Indulgence {thank you Sherry!} and I am hooked. You have a beautiful blog, and have such a wonderful style!

  5. I would totally buy Lonny! There is just something about having it in your hand. Hope your having a great weekend! =)

  6. yes! I would totally pay for a real honest to goodness shiny paper copy of Lonny to have and to hold. I would pay a lot!! Is anyone listening??

  7. wow - the mart has some amazing stuff!
I would SO buy Lonny in print - there's still nothing like flipping through a mag in real life :)

  8. I am pretty excited about Margaret Russell. I too am not a fan of AD. Just seemed to have a Im-to -rich-for your-blood feel to it. Always seemed stuffy. Maybe now it will have a better style and approachability to it!
