an evolution of a chair & news!

So first for the news....

You remember my dear friend, Anisa Darnell--

Well now she is a part of Milk & Honey Home, L.L.C.!!

I am too thrilled.  We both think we bring out the best in one another and hopefully bring out the best in our clients' homes.  So now if you ever need our services.....you'll get a team!

Here is just a peak at her skills.  Look at this chair she found for a steal at an antiques store.  Here is what she did in her words:

My chair before- pretty but not my taste...

The inspiration chair
(Atlanta Bartlett--Easy Elegance)

My chair painted, distressed and upholstered with linen and carpet tacks to look like old nail heads.

I love that she used carpet tacks!!

Thank you so much for the encouragement about the interview yesterday!  I was myself and did my best, and that is all I can do.  I'll tell you more when I know I can--but it has to do with TV.  Can you believe that?  I can't.

(Here is me yesterday with my hair done because they told me to get hair and makeup done!!  I am looking dead dog tired because I woke at 3 because I was so excited/ nervous.)

Have a good day--Julie

  7. What an amazing team you will make! You both have excellent style! Your hair story reminded me of when I was in the paper a few years back. (voted Metro Detroit's Martha Stewart - first time I've mentioned that in blog land) Anyhow - when the story came to print it was funny because my cousins husbands main question was whether I styled my own hair. Best wishes to you!

  25. Hi Julie! That is so exciting. And I can't wait to hear more about the TV opp. So, I'm definitely going to have to ask your advice on creating and LLC and what that entails. Jess
