You know...I really want to strive to post as much original material as I can. I don't know if I felt this way when I first started blogging...but I do now.
I want to post more of my home and my work (we just got some crazy-good stuff for a client today). I want to do more interviews and hopefully share more about my contributions to Rue. I am also lucky enough to have friends who have some amazing style and I hope to share their homes with you...along with the interiors of some of my favorite shops and restaurants in Atlanta. I am working on getting Chris to allow us into his film-world a little; I want to share a bit about set design and some of the wonderful homes where they shott.
That being said, sometimes you gotta just repost some stuff. This apartment with a "million-dollar view" in Manhattan was shot by Jamie of the photography blog from me-to you. She took pictures for the Vicente Wolf interview in Rue. Please click on that link to view this home that I am not able to repost because I hate blogger. I am working with a web designer...so I'll share the new address with you when it is fixed. I can't upload one picture!? sorry...have a great Wednesday. Julie
yes, lots of trouble posting pictures these days. I switched my settings from "updated editor" back to "old editor" and it works...in the old, clumsier way but it works.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing. I love that apartment.
ReplyDeleteWhile I haven't had trouble, a friend/blogger of mine was having a lot yesterday, too.
ReplyDeleteThose pics of the NY apt were very re-post worthy. They truly transported me - amazingly beautiful and real.
I love your original content and your home. I loved yesterdays post about where you got the lighting. I think what I love most of all is your entryway.
What a gorgeous apartment! I love seeing spaces belonging to mature owners who have collected things they love over the years and have such a true sense of their own classic style. So many things she has probably owned for years and yet even today they are so chic. And I love that with vintage looks so popular today, even wallpaper and finishes that we may have viewed as dated and needing an overhaul, no longer look that way. :)
ReplyDeleteUnbelievable home!! Wow, those pops of green and fuschia are so warm and exciting!! So, lovely - I loved all the vintage elements - wallpaper, accessories, artwork, etc. What a wonderful and special place!
ReplyDeleteThat apartment is gorgeous!! And the view is even more stunning. I love the colors and the way that it's fancy, but still liveable and lived-in.
ReplyDeleteI'm also re-thinking some things so I could add more original content. It's hard though!
Happy Wednesday to you too!
Very beautiful. Love the view and all the happy colors used.
ReplyDeleteThe french furniture, the pink french chair and the view...it's all stunning!!
ReplyDeleteJulie, I just happened to stumble across Jamie's blog over the weekend (from a knitting blog no less!) and saw these awesome pics as well as the ones of Mr Wolf. I knew instantly that she was the one that took the pics for your article. What a small world.
ReplyDeleteAlso, we're not machines. Sometimes it's nice to just show a pretty picture of someone else's work. I do think we should strive for more original content (it's something I struggle with every day) but the muse isn't always at the ready. I'm working on trying to find the balance. I think you do an amazing job of that. Just wanted you to know.
Can't wait to see your contributions to Rue! I totally know what you mean about wanting to post original content. I try to do that too. It is hard. It takes like 10 times longer to create a post. Can't wait to see your work.

Amazing apartment....like stepping back in time and I agree with her that I am now obsessed with hot pink.
ReplyDeleteI completely understand what you mean by original content...I am working towards the same thing (need to get those projects started) and think you already do a great job at it! Though I completely understand when we look within and see room for improvement. Can't wait to see what's in store.
Julieeeeeeeeeee.(emphasis on the eeeeeeeee!) Wow - super excited after seeing that apartment. It is amazing. I am head over heels mad about it! YAY! Sinead
ReplyDeleteGood design stands the test of time! Granny has a smoking home!! Love it. You know what else I love? It is so different from what I consider your style and I love that you love it!!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely going to check it out!
